Florida State football recruiting: official visitors coming to Tallahassee

Florida State could close as well as any school in the nation, now that it finally has most of its new coaching staff in place.

The Florida State Seminoles are expecting official visits from several top committed and uncommitted recruits. Here they are.

Not Seminole Commits

Jalen Ramsey CB USC Trojans
Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, Tenn.) 6-0.5/189 5-star
Ramsey is a longtime commitment to the USC Trojans, but recently has been wavering. He also has interest in the Florida Gators.
Keith Bryant DT 4-star
Atlantic (Delray Beach, Fla.) 6-1.5/302

Bryant was a longtime Miami commitment, but backed off in recent months. Sources in both Tallahassee and Coral Gables are confident their respective schools will land the four-star DT.

Tashawn Bower SDE Auburn Tigers
Immaculata (Somerville, N.J.) 6-5/248 4-star
Bower is a big defensive end who is anything but solid to Auburn. Florida State believes it can flip him. But Auburn will have the last word.
Yannick Ngakoue ILB 4-star
Friendship Academy (Washington, D.C.) 6-3/240
Ngakoue has a great relationship with new FSU defensive ends coach Sal Sunseri. He's also strongly considering South Carolina and Maryland, the school to which he was once committed.
Arshad Jackson TE 3-star
Lovejoy (Hampton, Ga.) 6-6/240
Jackson is an athletic, but raw right end out of South Atlanta. He's very tight with defensive end Davin Bellamy, with whom he's visiting this weekend.
Eddie Jackson DB/WR 3-star
Boyd Anderson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) 6-2/175
Jackson was committed to FSU for less than a few hours. He then backed off and is considering Alabama and LSU as well.
Jeremy Kerr TE Miami Hurricanes
St. Petersburg (Saint Petersburg, Fla.) 6-6/262 3-star
Kerr is committed to Miami, but FSU has a solid shot to flip him. Many project him as an eventual offensive tackle.

Current Seminole Commits

Marquez White CB 4-star
Northview (Dothan, Ala.) 6-1/175
White is a tremendous corner prospect whom Alabama is trying to sway.
Ro'Derrick Hoskins OLB 3-star
Evans (Orlando, Fla.) 6-3/215
Hoskins is an athletic linebacker who is quite raw.
E.J. Levenberry ILB 4-star
C. D. Hylton (Woodbridge, Va.) 6-3/227
Levenberry flirted with Oklahoma and Michigan, but has remained strong in his commitment to FSU.
Davin Bellamy SDE 4-star
Chamblee Charter (Atlanta, Ga.) 6-5/235
Bellamy is anything but solid to Florida State. FSU will need to recruit him like an uncommitted prospect.
Jesus Wilson WR 4-star
Columbus (Miami, Fla.) 5-10/170
0 1
Tyrell Lyons OLB 3-star
First Coast (Jacksonville, Fla.) 6-2/220
Lyons is a former safety who lifted himself into a linebacker.
Levonte "Kermit" Whitfield WR 4-star
Jones (Orlando, Fla.) 5-9/165
2Whitfield is extremely fast, though not a great receiver. He is also trying to visit Texas A&M, but it is unknown if the Aggies would accept his commitment, given their scholarship crunch.
Desmond Hollin SDE 3-star
Asa College (Brooklyn, N.Y.) 6-4/260
Hollin committed to the Seminoles in November and has not wavered.
