Washington commit Daeshon Hall and Sebastian Larue taking officials to Texas A&M

Despite currently having 33 commits in the 2013 class, the Aggies have a little bit of space and are hosting two big-time visitors this weekend.

Texas A&M is expecting two significant prospects to visit for official visits this weekend as the Aggies try to wrap up an already successful 2013 class.

Santa Monica (Calif.) wide receiver Sebastian Larue decommitted from USC on January 2nd and will take the first of three pending official visits over the weekends before National Signing Day before putting his recruitment to rest once and for all, while Lancaster (Texas) defensive end Daeshon Hall continues to look around despite being pledged to Washington, his second school after decommitting from Texas in June.

The recruitment of Larue is interesting in the sense that A&M already has a number of wide receivers committed in the class -- so many, in fact, that Cameron Echols-Luper and Quincy Adeboyejo both decommitted in recent weeks because of the numbers crunch at the position, which already includes star prospects like Ricky Seals-Jones, Tony Stevens, and JaQuay Williams, among others. What has kept Larue on track to visit is the fact that Laquvionte Gonzalez is the only slot receiver currently committed.

Larue is a consensus four-star prospect who recently participated in the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game and will visit Notre Dame on January 25th while working on scheduling a visit for the final weekend before he makes his decision. Washington State, UCLA, and Texas are the schools generally thought to be battling for his final visit.

As for Hall, he is originally from the Seattle area and committed to Washington in order to be closer to his family in college, though it’s not clear how much of a priority that is still considering that he’s visiting a school in Texas. Hall says that he’s just trying to make sure of his decision, a line used by many committed prospects taking further visits. A consensus four-star prospect, the 6-6, 235-pound former basketball player received the Metroplex Defensive Player of the Year award on Thursday evening, an award given out by the Dallas Morning News.

It’s a big class already, but the Aggies aren’t finished on the recruiting trail yet.
