Chris Jones makes official visit to Ole Miss

Consensus five-star defensive end prospect Chris Jones is on his official visit with Ole Miss this weekend, according to Scout.com’s Yancy Porter:

Jones has been a Mississippi State verbal commit since June, but all signs indicate that commitment may be wavering on the eve of Signing Day. Earlier this week, Jones scheduled an official visit with Auburn. He also received late offers from Alabama and Florida. While some reports had indicated that he would not be visiting Oxford, those now appear to be erroneous.

Jones joins a star-studded group of recruits at Ole Miss this weekend. Fellow five-star defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, long considered a private Ole Miss verbal commit, is visiting the school, as is five-star offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil. Late Friday, Ole Miss received a verbal commitment from wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo, the first of what Rebels fans hope are many commitments this weekend.
