College football recruiting visitors: LSU, Ole Miss, Penn State, Washington welcoming stars

The Rebels return home after a difficult road series and welcome Tyler Luatua, an elite tight end from La Mirada (Calif.). Luatua is a four-star, and holds offers from Alabama and Notre Dame in addition to Ole MIss. Luatua’s visit will be an official visit.

Inside linebacker Nyles Morgan, of Crete (Il.) Monee High School, has long been considered one of the players likely to head to Ole Miss, though Vanderbilt and perhaps Tennessee are also somewhat in contention. Morgan is a four-star and will be in Oxford this weekend. Morgan’s visit will be an official. Former teammate Laquon Treadwell is a freshman sensation at receiver for the Rebels.

LSU commit Deondre Clark, an elite four-star defensive end from Oklahoma City Douglass High School, will be in Oxford to take in the game.

Two Louisiana products will also be in town.

Alabama running back/athlete commitment Bo Scarbrough, now at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, may make it to Oxford for the game. Scarbrough is supposedly a strong Alabama commitment, but is looking at several SEC schools.

Ole Miss will try to get Florida State receiver commitment Markell Pack of Purvis (Miss.) to take a visit. Pack is a four-star receiver recruit. Pack told SB Nation that he was not yet sure if he would visit.

And Stockbridge (Ga.) corner Kendarius Webster, a four-star who is also considering Georgia and Florida State, should be in Oxford as well. Most believe the Rebels have a great chance to land Webster.

LSU will host its first day game of the season and is expecting a big group of visitors.

Malachi Dupre, one of the nation’s top receivers, from New Orleans (La.) John Curtis, should be in town to check out the Tigers. Dupre is a five-star and also has strong interest in Alabama, UCLA and Florida State.

A pair of teammates that everyone in the state and the Southeast have their eyes on are receiver Speedy Noil and defensive lineman Gerald Willis, of New Orleans Edna Karr. Both are five-stars, and both are very heavy LSU leans. They’ve taken trips to Florida and Texas A&M recently, but will now visit the prohibitive favorite, LSU.

Kevin Toliver II, an LSU legacy and commitment, from Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian School, will also make the trip. Toliver is a five-star cornerback and one of the true stars of the class of 2015.

Penn State’s recruiting is on the rise thanks to the recent reduction of NCAA sanctions. This weekend, the Nittany Lions host Michigan, and will try to pull the upset in front of a crazy home crowd. Three top prospects will be in attendance.

Mike Gesicki, a top tight end from Manahawkin (N.J.) Southern Regional, will be taking in the game. One top college coach told me that Gesicki is the best tight end he has seen in 2014. I saw Gesicki in person this summer, and was surprised at his ability to quickly turn and burst, given his long legs. Penn State is battling Ohio State for Gesicki.

Five-star defensive lineman Thomas Holley, of Brooklyn, will also be in attendance, as will local offensive tackle Alex Bookser, a four-star.

The Huskies will look to spring the upset of the Ducks this weekend in front of junior college defensive end Claudeson Pelon, of Mesa (Ariz.) Community College. Pelon is a jumbo defensive end who would play immediately for the Huskies. He is a four-star recruit.

Fellow strong-side defensive end Kaleb McGary, a strong Washington lean, will also make the trip. McGary is a four-star and at 6’7 and 275 pounds, he could also play offensive tackle.

And Budda Baker, a star athlete from Bellevue (Wa.) will also be in attendance. Oregon and Washington are major players in his recruitment. Could a Washington upset sway him ($)?
