4-star WR Jalen Brown commits to Oregon Ducks
Mark Helfrich’s future quarterback gets a new toy.

Listed at 6’2 and 187 pounds, Brown is rated as a top-20 wide receiver in the class of 2014.
Brown’s addition will undoubtedly help Mark Helfrich keep the Ducks flying high in Eugene. Given the way UO lets its receivers go down the field and make plays, the speedy four-star wideout’s commitment makes a lot of sense. He should fit right in at Oregon for the next couple years.
The Ducks’ 2014 recruiting efforts got off to a bit of slow start following the departure of Chip Kelly, though it seems like they’re starting to gain momentum now. Brown is the first wide receiver to commit to Oregon for 2014.
Oregon’s 2014 class entered Monday ranked 46th in the country and fourth among Pac-12 schools, behind Stanford, Arizona and Arizona State. The addition of Brown moved them up to 39th.
