Though they sit 7th in the Pac-12 and 53rd in the country, Washington’s class is still small enough to ward off any fears of a down recruiting year -- with just nine recruits, they have plenty of time and space to turn it around.

The Huskies have some work to do if they want to move up.

The Huskies have only added one new member to the class recently, although it’s a big member. Literally, in the case of 6’3, 335 pound Natrell Curtis. Curtis, a guard from Phoenix (Az.) Mountain Pointe, is a top-20 player at that position this season, and a 3-star on the 247sports composite.
Outside of Lockett, Washington’s nine commitments are headed by three 4-star players -- wide receivers Rahshead Johnson and Erik Brown, as well as cornerback Jonathan Lockett. All three hail from California and rank out as top 30 players at their position.
Washington has also been putting in work in Idaho, as well -- another third of their recruits this season have come from the Gem State, as athlete Chase Blakley, offensive tackle Matt James and defensive end Don Hill have also opted to take their talents to Seattle. Each member of this trio is a three-star player on the 247sports composite. The Huskies will be hoping all three are diamonds in the rough, true to their state’s nickname.

Washington is still after two four-star targets in the trenches.
The first is four-star JUCO defensive lineman Claudeson Pelon. Pelon is a 6’4, 275-pound player who can be used inside or out. Miami, Arizona and UCF are also interested in Pelon.
Tacoma (Wa.) Fife offensive tackle Kaleb McGary is also a strong Washington target. At 6’7 and 270 pounds, McGary has great length but is a bit of a project.
