One of the main questions about Missouri’s move to the SEC is whether the Tigers would be able to keep up with their new conference rivals in the recruiting game. Early on this season, that worry seemed to have legitimacy, as Missouri’s class was stranded at the bottom of the conference. A key addition has changed the Tigers’ fortune, as the class starts to come into shape.

After a huge switch went the Tigers’ way, Missouri’s class is starting to look a lot better.

Four-star offensive tackle Andy Bauer flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Missouri, bumping the Tigers from 14th to 13th in the SEC recruiting rankings, according to the 247sports composite. The jump can be better seen in the national rankings, where they moved from 39th to 31st. The class would be good for fifth in the Big 12.
Bauer wasn’t Missouri’s only recent commitment. Brandon Lee is another top get for the Tigers that committed in the month of November. The outside linebacker from Lawrence Central (Ind.) is considered a four-star by the 247sports composite. He is rated as the 24th-best outside linebacker in the country and the fifth-best player in the state.
Bauer, however, is still the star of the class. The offensive tackle from DeSmet (Mo.) High School is rated as a four-star by the 247sports composite. He is considered the eighth-best tackle in the country and the best player in the state.
Nate Brown is another key cog for the Tigers. The wide receiver from North Gwinett (Ga.) High School is considered a three-star by the 247sports composite. He is rated as the 48th-best wide receiver in the country and the 33rd-best player in the state.
Lawrence Lee is another good wide receiver get for Missouri. The wideout from West Florida Tech (Fla.) is rated as a three-star by the 247sports composite. He is considered the 73rd-best wide receiver in the class and the 78th-best player in the state.
