Consensus five-star prospect Jabrill Peppers, who committed to Michigan in May, said Tuesday that he’s planning to take some official visits to other schools. It’s not clear at this point which schools he will visit, but potential candidates might include LSU, Ohio State and Notre Dame, among others.
5-star Michigan commit Jabrill Peppers looking elsewhere amid Hoke ‘rumors’
Peppers is one of the top athletes in the 2014 class, and the best player currently committed to the Wolverines.

Peppers released a statement clarifying his stance, which raises even more questions about Michigan’s program:
"I am still 100% committed to the University of Michigan and that is the place where I want to go to college."
— Tom VanHaaren (@TomVH) November 26, 2013 "With the rumors about Coach Hoke possibly not being there I need to make sure that I have options and have seen other places." - Peppers

— Tom VanHaaren (@TomVH) November 26, 2013 We’re not sure what those rumors about Brady Hoke are.
Rumors earlier in November suggested that Peppers might be interested in flipping his commitment from the Wolverines to Alabama after elite defensive end Da’Shawn Hand committed to the Tide. Peppers had been urging Hand to join him in Ann Arbor.
Peppers’ high school coach quashed those rumors, but he was caught off guard by the elite defensive back’s decision to take visits.
Michigan has the 11th-best recruiting class in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, and Peppers is easily the best of the bunch. He is considered a top-five overall prospect in the 2014 class, and the best player at his position. SB Nation’s Bud Elliott wrote in the spring that he believes Peppers will have an immediate impact at the college level.
