Cornelius Elder, an athlete/defensive back prospect out of The Ensworth School in Tennessee, is set to announce his college decision on Feb. 20, according to his Twitter account. National Signing Day has come and gone, but some prospects, like Elder, have yet to make a choice about their college destination for 2013.
Corn Elder has decision date: Georgia Tech believed to be leader
Elder will make a college decision later this month, and he may end up in Atlanta playing for Paul Johnson.

Elder is a consensus four-star recruit and appears to be a Georgia Tech lean, though Auburn, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Purdue, UCLA and Vanderbilt reportedly maintain mutual interest. He would provide a jolt to the Jackets' recruiting efforts in 2013, which have been subpar by regional and national standards. Paul Johnson's class is ranked 84th nationally by Rivals, sandwiched between Bowling Green and Florida Atlantic. Only Boston College's class is rated lower in the ACC.

Elder also has drawn interest as a college basketball prospect -- he has an offer from Purdue to play hoops and has been evaluated by several other programs -- and that sport may actually be his preference. But he’s also been told that his future lies with football, and that may be the impetus behind his decision later this month.
