Leon McQuay III, who is one of the top safety prospects in the class of 2013, is officially enrolled at USC. McQuay is rated as the 19th-best player in the 2013 class by Rivals, and the second-best safety. Scout lists his hands, instincts and size among his strengths.

“Not many look better at safety than McQuay,” said Scout.com recruiting analyst Chad Simmons. “He is a very long defensive back, he can easily carry another 20 pounds, and he is a very intelligent player. He plays for a top program and he knows the game. He has shown good instincts at safety and he has great range on the back end of the defense.”

McQuay originally committed to USC on Jan. 4 during the Under Armour All-America game; at that time, he picked the Trojans over Florida State, Vanderbilt and Michigan, among others. He made 54 tackles and picked off five passes during his senior season.

Ratings: He’s a four-star recruit according to Scout and 247Sports, and a five-star recruit according to Rivals.

Vitals: 6’2” 185 pounds, 4.5 40 time

Other offers: Florida State, Michigan, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Oregon
