Quarterback Mitch Trubisky is getting a head start on his college career, as he is enrolled at North Carolina for the spring semester. Trubisky is one of the nation’s top dual-threat quarterbacks and should fit well in UNC head coach Larry Fedora’s offense.

Trubisky is on campus and enrolled in classes at UNC, and he gives the Tar Heels perhaps the top dual-threat quarterback in the 2013 class.

Trubisky, who led Mentor High School to the state playoffs in 2012, threw for more than 4,000 yards and connected on 42 touchdown passes. He also ran for 835 yards and scored 18 TDs on the ground.
Fit is extremely important with a recruit. And Trubisky makes a lot of sense for North Carolina. An athletic passer, Trubisky’s legs will be used well in Larry Fedora’s offense. This is particularly true early on, as he learns to become a complete passer. That’s not to say that he lacks passing skills. Trubisky has a lot of tools, and can certainly develop into an excellent dual-threat quarterback for the Tar Heels.
Ratings: Trubisky is considered a four-star recruit by 247Sports and a three-star recruit by Rivals.
Vitals: He stands 6’3” and weighs 195 pounds.
