Running back Greg Bryant, out of American Heritage School in Delray Beach, Fla., has signed his letter of intent to play football for Brian Kelly at Notre Dame. Bryant is one of at least four players from Florida expected to join The Fighting Irish this fall as the school grabs a stronghold in one the country's hottest recruiting spots. He looks to be a powerful runner for years to come at Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish were able to grab one of the best running backs in the country from SEC territory.

The Irish had to beat out the SEC’s best for Bryant’s commitment. Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia all offered the running back a scholarship. He was originally heading to Oklahoma, but de-committed in late July.
Bryant will bring a tremendous skill-set to Notre Dame. He has excellent field vision and seems to always be planning his next cut. Bryant has a solid jump cut, and possesses the ability to start and stop on a dime. When he isn’t cutting around defenders, he stays low and plows right through them.
The main weakness is his game is a lack of breakaway speed. Bryant was fast enough to pull away from defenders in high school, but won’t be able to do that against Division I defensive backs. He’ll likely get most of his work in between the tackles at Notre Dame.
Of course, nobody’s perfect, and Bryant is pretty solid at catching the ball out of the backfield on top of his running prowess. The Fighting Irish seem to have found themselves a polished running back who can be a workhorse in the future.
