The Texas A&M Aggies signed a number of wide receivers in the 2013 class, but Cedar Hill (Texas) all-purpose threat Laquvionte Gonzalez may be one of the most unique talents.

A consensus four-star prospect who participated in The Opening and the Under Armour All-American game, the 5-11, 155-pound Gonzalez was also a quality high-jumper in high school who has cleared 6-9 and has a 41-inch vertical.

Gonzalez chose A&M over offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Clemson, Illinois, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and West Virginia.

The explosiveness that Gonzalez shows in track and field translates to the football field, where he played running back, wide receiver, defensive back, and returned punts and kicks for Cedar Hill. Though his 40 speed is listed as 4.50, less than elite, on the field he plays faster than that, with an explosive first step and make-you-miss ability with the ball in his hands.

At Texas A&M, the Aggies will likely use him at times in the running game and he should also get a chance to continue returning punts and kicks, as he did at Cedar Hill.

Recruitment timeline: Gonzalez committed to A&M in March of 2012 and remained firmly committed throughout the process.
