South Carolina-based quarterback prospect Jacob Park has been drawing interest from some of the nation’s best college football teams since his junior season, and the interest has only increased in recent months. The 6’3, 200-pound Park, who plays at Stratford High School in Goose Creek, South Carolina, is listed as a consensus four-star recruit, with four star ratings at Rivals and 24/7. Scout also gives Park four stars, while ESPN has placed him on their 300-prospect watch list.

Park is collecting big offers from all over the country.
As of March, he holds offers from Virginia Tech, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, NC State, Ole Miss and Duke, with interest from home state schools South Carolina and Clemson, as well as much of the SEC.

Bud Elliott, National Recruiting Analyst: Park has a long, lanky 6’3 frame and he is plenty athletic. He displays a good arm and gets the ball out of his hand quickly.
Park makes a ton of plays on the run. He is able to throw the ball with good velocity even when off-balance or falling out of bounds. I think Park could be very good on play-action passes and on bootlegs.
What I’m not sure of, however, is Park’s ability to read a defense and quickly distribute the football. Almost all of his highlight plays are of him scrambling and then throwing downfield. That’s great, but a good spread QB must also quickly take advantage of automatic reads and checks, and must be able to read coverage.
Park is very adept at getting upfield on designed QB runs and scrambles. He throws caution to the wind and manages to pick up yards. The reverse of this, however, is that Park does open himself up to some potentially big shots.
