Drake Harris decommits: 4-star WR drops Michigan State

The Spartans lost an elite wide receiver prospect when Harris officially reopened his recruitment on Monday.

Drake Harris, a wide receiver prospect in the class of 2014 from Grand Rapids Christian High School (MI), decommitted from Michigan State on Monday The news comes after Harris made unofficial visits to the Michigan Wolverines on three consecutive weekends. He was already wavering on his MSU commitment last week, and now his recruitment is officially back open

Harris, who is 6’4 and weighs 180 pounds, is a consensus four-star recruit and considered one of the top players at his position, as well as one of the top 100 overall prospects. He was the most highly regarded prospect in Michigan State’s 2014 class.

Harris has offers from numerous high-profile programs, including Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, Nebraska and Ohio State. He is planning to take an unnoficial visit to Florida on March 22.
