The Ole Miss Rebels have carried over the positive momentum from the 2013 class into the efforts in the current cycle, which continued on Monday as St. Louis (Mo.) De Smet offensive lineman Andy Bauer gave his pledge to head coach Huge Freeze:
Andy Bauer commits to Ole Miss Rebels
The Rebels added their seventh commit in the 2014 class on Monday morning.

Just committed to @coachhughfreeze, @coachmattluke, and the rest of the staff at the University of Mississippi! #OleMiss #HottyToddy #Rebels

A 2014 Under Armour All American and planned early enrollee, Bauer is a consensus four-star prospect ranked as a national top-100 player by 247Sports and Rivals.
Listed variously between 6’5 and 6’6, Bauer is just over 300 pounds, meaning that he has the size and mass to play tackle at the next level, though there are reports that he will begin his career as a guard. 247Sports, Rivals, and Scout all have him evaluated as a tackle.
With offers from all over the country, including Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Washington, among many others, Bauer is an example of a prospect who committed quickly before seeing his stock explode and changing his mind. An original pledge to Missouri from April of 2012 lasted only until November before he re-opened his commitment. He visited Ole Miss twice in 2013 before making his decision.
The Rebels had the seventh-ranked recruiting class in the country by 247Sports prior to the addition of Bauer, but have now jumped up to fourth nationally. How tough is it recruiting in the nation’s top conference? Hugh Freeze and company still rank behind three other SEC schools -- Texas A&M, LSU, and Florida.
