One of the best prospects in Texas in this class has already committed. Armanti Foreman has already pulled the trigger on a verbal pledge to a college of his choice, but his recruitment is probably far from over.

Texas wide receiver Armanti Foreman has already committed to Oklahoma. Will he ever consider reopening his recruitment?
Foreman hails from Texas City (Tex.) High School. He currently stands at 5’11 and weighs in at 175 pounds and is considered a consensus four-star wide receiver. 247 Sports has him ranked in the top 200 of their national recruits and a top 25 wide receiver and Texas prospect in this class. Rivals places Foreman in their top 250 and gives him a four-star ranking. Scout has him as the 35th best wide receiver and a three star rank overall, and ESPN has Foreman on their early Watchlist.
Foreman is currently committed to the Oklahoma Sooners, making his verbal pledge to Bob Stoops and his staff back in October of last season. Here is the story on Foreman’s commitment from Wescott Eberts.
Despite the commitment to Oklahoma, other schools are starting to try and enter into the game as Texas and Texas A&M sent in their offers in late February. Foreman also has an offer from Florida.

As a sophomore, Foreman teamed with his twin brother, D’onta, a 6-0, 200-pound running back prospect with a little more sturdy build than Armanti, to form a tandem defenses found difficult to stop, with the newest Sooner consistently creating separation downfield on vertical routes and picking up yards after the catch on screen, flashing some serious first-step explosiveness and lateral quickness in the process, as well as the stop-start ability to make defenders look foolish.
In other words, Foreman is a pretty ideal slot prospect and a threat to take jet sweeps, screens, go routes, post routes, and everything in between the distance every time.
As a junior, throw in some impressive balance and some monster plays in the punt return game and Foreman looks like an even better prospect now than he did after his strong sophomore season. On the punt returns in particular, Foreman displays the vision to find seams or cutbacks, the acceleration to hit them, and the lateral ability to take the edge against potential tacklers who have angles.
When catching the football on deep routes, Foreman can adjust to the ball in the air and also does a nice job of attacking the pigskin on catches inside his body instead of using his body to catch the ball, a bad habit for many high school receivers that can allow defensive backs that split second of extra time to knock the ball free.
Add it all up and the explosive Foreman is the top slot receiver prospect in the state of Texas.
