    The three-sport star in high school ended his recruitment after a weekend visit to Lubbock for the Texas Tech spring game and is also expected to play baseball at Texas Tech.

    The 6’3, 180-pound prospect is a star on the baseball diamond in addition to playing basketball at Whitehouse and is the son of former major league pitcher Pat Mahomes. A consensus three-star prospect who could see his stock rise with another strong season as a senior, the younger Mahomes is ranked as the no. 19 pro-style prospect in the country in the 247Sports Composite rankings and the no. 40 player in the state of Texas. Prior to his commitment, he held offers from Rice and Houston.
