Kyle Allen football recruit updates: Elite quarterback recruit

BEAVERTON, Oregon -- Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain quarterback Kyle Allen has consistently been one of the top performers at Elite 11 and now at The Opening, putting himself in contention to receive top honors at the prestigious event.

SB Nation Recruiting caught up with Allen after the second day of The Opening to discuss his experience in Oregon and why he chose to commit to the Texas A&M Aggies over a host of other offers from top programs around the country.

The Elite 11 finals at The Opening in Portland take place from June 29 to July 3. The five-day event places some of the top quarterbacks in the country, and some looking to prove that they belong with the best, in a pressure-filled competition that will test their physical and mental abilities.
