BEAVERTON, Oregon -- Denton (Texas) quarterback Jerrod Heard has been working hard since the Dallas Elite 11 camp to improve various aspects of his game and has impressed head coach Trent Dilfer with his efforts.
On Sunday, Heard spoke with SB Nation Recruiting before heading off to get ready for the start of The Opening, which will feature the 7-on-7 competition that will determine the final Elite 11.

Well, scratch that. In the past, it didn’t always have the tightest of rotations -- the Jerrod Heard on display at the Elite 11 Finals looked like a remarkably different quarterback then the one who showed up to the Dallas Elite 11 camp in early April.
