Cameron Robinson, Damien Mama, and offensive linemen at The Opening

Bud Elliott of SB Nation Recruiting discusses the top players in the trenches, noting two huge players who stood out amongst the hogs as well as a few other impressive recruits on the offensive line.

Cameron Robinson and Damien Mama are each big enough to play in college — if anything, too big — right now, as rising seniors in high school. They’re the two players that stood out to SB Nation’s Bud Elliott as he broke down the best players from the trenches at The Opening at Nike’s headquarters in Beaverton, Ore.

Robinson, a West Monroe (La.) product, measures in at 6’6 and 318 pounds. He’s ranked as the top offensive tackle in the country by 247’s composite, and the No. 5 player at any position. Mama is even bigger, weighing in at 6’4, 370 pounds. The Bellflower (Ca.) Don John Bosco player comes in at No. 3 amongst offensive guards in the country.

Both players are uncommitted, and both have some of college football’s powerhouses chasing after them. Elliott breaks down their best attributes and discusses some of the other top players on the offensive line at The Opening.

Although offensive linemen didn’t play in 7-on-7 games, for obvious reasons, they were put through drills to measure their athleticism. They also went through a series of 1-on-1 competitions against the top defensive linemen in the country.
