Bud Elliott breaks down defensive linemen at The Opening
Following Wednesday’s action in the Lineman Challenge, SB Nation’s recruiting analyst picked out the stars.

Elliott liked Chad Thomas, a Miami-based defensive end prospect who won camp MVP. Thomas, a consensus four-star recruit, holds more than 15 scholarship offers from the likes of Miami, LSU, Florida, Louisville, and Florida State, among others.
Joe Henderson, a three-star defensive end recuit from Cleveland, also stood out. Elliott was impressed by Henderson's use of leverage and his pass-rushing ability. Henderson is a verbal commit to Tennessee.
Da’Shawn Hand, widely considered the top prospect nationally, may not have been the best defensive lineman at The Opening. He was still solid, showing good burst and pass-rushing moves.
Thomas Holley, Andrew Brown, Solomon Thomas, and Gerald Willis were also mentioned among the top defensive linemen.
