Snoop Dogg’s son, 2015 four-star WR: Kiffin should have been fired ‘a while ago’

Cordell Broadus speaks out after hearing news of Lane Kiffin’s dismissal.

Four-star 2015 wide receiver Cordell Broadus, also known as Snoop Dogg’s son, told 247Sports that USC should have fired head coach Lane Kiffin “a while ago”.

“I feel that he should have been fired a while ago and USC is going to raise the bar now because the new coaching staff next year and I’m anxious to see what they are going to look like.”

Broadus is considered one of the top prospects from California in the 2015 class, and the 247sports composite ranks him as the 53rd-best player in the nation. He currently holds offers from a variety of schools, including USC, UCLA, LSU and Nebraska.

247Sports has more reactions from recruits in the story, including four-star 2015 defensive end Joseph Wicker, who said “I’m a little happy.”

Four-star USC linebacker commit Derik Calhoun was rumored to have decommitted earlier Sunday, but his family has since refuted the statement. Three-star running back Demario Richard previously said he would consider USC only if Kiffin was fired, while multiple recruits expressed concern after hearing fans chant “Fire Kiffin” at USC home games.

The ultimate recruiting fallout of the firing is expected to be positive, as multiple recruits are now expected to re-consider the Trojans.

Broadus's father, Snoop Dogg, was reported to have picked up Silas Redd, a former Penn State player who transferred to USC, from the airport in a limo. The school denied the reports.
