Budda Baker, one of the top recruits on the West Coast this year, decommitted from Oregon on Friday afternoon. It sounds like is no longer considering the Ducks.
4-star athlete Budda Baker decommits from Oregon
The No. 1 prospect from the state of Washington has broken things off with the Ducks. Will he stay home and play for the Huskies?

I have decommited from Oregon an decided to reopen my recruitment Coach H an the ducks are a great program just not the right program for me
— budda baker (@buddabaker32) January 17, 2014 Baker is ranked by 247 Sports’ composite rankings as the 53rd-best prospect in the 2014 class. The rankings also list him as the fifth-best athlete in the nation, as well as the No. 1 player from the state of Washington. Baker originally committed to Oregon on Dec. 20, but when rumors of him visiting Washington in the near future began to swirl, some wondered if the four-star prospect was beginning to change his mind.
Baker will visit the Huskies and new head coach Chris Petersen this weekend, according to multiple reports.
So there you go. Budda Baker decommits from Oregon, scheduled an official visit to UW.
— UW Dawg Pound (@UWSBN) January 17, 2014 In addition to Oregon and Washington, Baker was also strongly considering UCLA. He currently has an official visit to UCLA set up for Jan. 24, though as all things are in recruiting, it’s a fluid situation.
Baker is a product of Bellevue High School, which is just down the road from Seattle. At 5’10 and 175 pounds, he could probably play on either side of the ball, though most feel he will eventually wind up as a slot receiver or safety.
