4-star OL prospect Braden Smith benches 3 reps at 515 pounds

Smith certainly isn’t lacking in strength.

Class of 2014 offensive guard prospect Braden Smith has to be one of the stronger players in this recruiting cycle. He proved that by completing three reps at 515 pounds on the bench press. Yes, five one five.

Smith is a four-star player and is rated as the third best offensive guard in the nation, according to the 247 Sports composite. Out of Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kan., he’s ranked No. 63 overall and No. 1 among players from his home state. Smith stands 6’6 and weighs in at 290 pounds.

With good size and incredible strength, it’s no surprise that he holds nearly 30 offers from major programs around the country, including TCU, Texas A&M, Auburn, Alabama and Notre Dame. In the last week, he’s officially visited the Tigers and Irish, and he has upcoming officials scheduled with the Aggies and Horned Frogs.
