Ricky Town, a five-star quarterback who is in the running to be the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2015 class, decommitted from the University of Alabama on Saturday afternoon:
5-star QB Ricky Town decommits from Alabama
Town is one of the elite prospects in the 2015 class. On Saturday, he decided to reopen his recruitment.

Today I have de-committed from Alabama. It was an honor to get to know Coach Saban and the Alabama fans. Thank you!
— Ricky Town (@RickyTownQB) January 25, 2014 Town is currently rated by 24/7 Sports as the No. 1 pro-style quarterback and the third-best prospect nationally. He hails from St. Bonaventure High School in California and took an unofficial visit to USC last weekend with his family. With a new coaching staff in place, many have begun wondering if Town could end up a Trojan when it’s all said and done.
At 6’4 and 215 pounds, Town possesses a big-time arm and oozes with potential. He has already received serious attention from schools all over the country and holds scholarship offers from many elite programs. He has not set any kind of timeline for his recruitment moving forward.
Here are some highlights of the talented quarterback in action. His pocket awareness and the zip he puts on the ball is really impressive.
