The Elite 11 Atlanta regional brought excellent young quarterback recruit talent, but the rising seniors in attendance also put on a good show. While there were no obvious five-star types, or even fringe five-stars, there was considerable depth, featuring numerous players who I believe will play in a major conference.

The depth at the Atlanta Elite 11 quarterback recruit regional was very good.
Anthony Ratliff had the best overall day. Out of Matthews (NC) Butler, Ratliff is a solid 6’0, 195 pounds, and throws a nice ball with good velocity. The recent UNC commit also fits that offense very well, as he can really move.
Austin King, of Alpharetta (Ga.) was also impressive. The local product from just down the road threw consistently well and has acceptable height at 6’2. King has some lower-level offers like Middle Tennessee State and UAB, and is also hearing from ACC schools like Wake Forest, Miami, N.C. State and Duke. King has already visited the North Carolina schools, along with UAB, and he soon plans to visit Middle Tennessee State and Georgia and make return visits to some of the schools in North Carolina. King would like to make a decision by the end of summer, and he is a candidate to pick up bigger offers as the spring evaluation period rolls on.
Ross Trail, of Wynne (AR), only has one major offer at the moment (Louisville), but the 6’3, 200-pounder had a solid day. He has a good, balanced approach, a nice motion and throws the ball well. I’d expect more offers to come.
Lorenzo Nunez, of of Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison, had an up and down day. His good was very good, but he did not flash it often enough. Nunez is also a threat with his legs, and that doesn’t show through as much in this setting, as the focus is on passing. Nunez holds offers from Ohio State, Clemson and other major schools.
Stevens gives the latest on his recruiting
Tommy Stevens, of indianapolis (IN) Decatur Central, is a well-known QB in the Midwest, and he performed very well on Friday. Stevens has a nice frame at 6’4, and a smooth, easy delivery without much tension. Several of the coaches on hand came away impressed. I spoke with Stevens after the event.
Kendall Hinton, of Durham (N.C.) Southern, is undersized at under 6’0, but also had a nice day and showed considerable improvement throughout the event, impressing Trent Dilfer and other coaches.
Nick Johns discusses his recruiting.
Nick Johns, of Washington (D.C) Gonzaga, had a very good day. Johns stood out immediately, with his 6’3, 215-pound build. Johns is a Penn State legacy, and currently holds three offers. As he indicates in the video, coaching stability is important for Johns. He wants to ensure that the offensive coaching staff will be intact throughout his time in college.
Ryan Willis, of Mission (Kansas) Bishop Miege, is a Kansas State legacy and a very good player. With a strong 6’3,195-pound build, Willis has clearly had some coaching and is fairly polished. His arm is good, but not great, and I was most impressed with his consistency as he put it on the mark time after time.
Alex Malzone, of Bloomfield Hills (MI) Brother Rice, made the long trip and threw quite well. With his frame, it’s easy to see why he has some interest from bigger schools. As more dominoes fall, he could pick up bigger offers.
Nick Tiano, of Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School, was one of the better players at the event. Tiano has a nice build at 6’4, 230 pounds, but has a strange hitch in his delivery.
Ryan Adzima, of Wallington (NJ) also did well. I would expect him to pick up a few offers as the spring equation period continues.
