4-star offensive lineman Tyler Gerald discusses Ohio State commitment

He’s “100 percent” committed to the Buckeyes.

Four-star lineman Tyler Gerald is originally from Ohio, but the 2016 offensive guard recruit is playing his high school ball at IMG Academy in Florida. However, Gerald will be back in his home state for college, as he committed to the Buckeyes last June.

Despite picking up some more offers -- including Florida State and Penn State, among others -- Gerald said he is still committed to OSU.

“100 percent,” he said. “I’m committed to them and I love how it is up there.”

OSU knows that other schools will still be after Gerald, and they’re still in touch with him all the time.

“I talk to my coaches up there, three or four coaches every day,” he said.

Gerald is working on bringing some of his friends from IMG with him to Columbus, since his new school is full of “beasts.” Currently, Gerald ranks as the fifth best offensive guard and a top-200 player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite ratings.
