Three-star defensive tackle Keyshon Camp was originally a Miami commit, but now that he’s deeper into the recruiting process, he decided that he wanted to open up his recruitment.
2016 recruit Keyshon Camp likes Alabama, Florida, Miami and Kentucky
He’s opened up his recruitment after decommiting from Miami.
“I started receiving other offers from bigger schools, so I just started to say I wanted to open my options up, and I didn’t want to be committed to a school,” he said. “I feel like if you’re committed to a school, you’ve got to be loyal to that school, and I didn’t want to be taking visits when I’m not loyal to the school. So I felt it was better for me to decommit.”
Two of those bigger schools? Florida and Alabama. As of now, his top four are Alabama, Florida, Miami and Kentucky, in no particular order. He has a great relationship with coaches at all of the schools, including Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin.
“He said he loves me,” Camp said of Kiffin. “He said he likes the way I eat.”
Camp has no visits scheduled as of now, but he hopes to see Alabama and Kentucky. He’s currently rated as the 38th best defensive tackle in the country and the 91st best player in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite ratings.
