Tony Jones Jr. is a three-star running back out of IMG Academy in Bradenton (Fla.), and he spoke with SB Nation Recruiting’s Bud Elliott at The Opening’s Orlando regional about just how excited he was to be there.

The 6’0, 212 pound running back prospect is getting a lot of attention.
“It’s been my dream since I was a freshman to come to The Opening,” Jones said. “So it’s a dream come true, I guess.” He has been working on his blocking, first step explosiveness, and route running, and he thought he really showed off his blocking and route running at the camp.
Jones holds offers from Kentucky, Miami, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and North Carolina, among others, and said he would like to receive offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Tennessee As for what he looks for in a school, Jones said he looks for three things: It feels like home, playing time, and (of course) his mom needs to like it.
Jones is rated as a three-star recruit by 247, ESPN, and Rivals, and is a four-star recruit according to Scout. He’s the 28th-ranked running back in the country according to the 247 Composite rankings, and is also the 51st-ranked player in the state of Florida.
