Starting next fall, you may have to do a double take when you look at Auburn’s roster because there’ll be a familiar name on it.
Bo Jackson’s nephew, Shedrick, just committed to Auburn via epic video
Cue the comparisons.

Three-star WR Shedrick Jackson committed to the Tigers in this slick commitment video pumped with nostalgia. It harkens to the past because Jackson’s uncle is none other than Bo Jackson.
Considered one of the greatest overall athletes to ever play college football, Bo’s shadow is understandably cast everywhere at Auburn. Jackson ran track and also played baseball while in college. He famously played in the NFL and MLB at the same time. The 1985 Heisman Trophy winner even has a statue outside of Auburn’s Jordan-Hare stadium.
Shedrick does not at all shy away from the comparisons.
“My family gave me my name. Now it’s on me to live up to that name,” he says in the video.
The pressure will be on Shedrick to perform if the wide receiver does in fact end up signing with the Tigers. Either way, his commitment gives new meaning to Auburn’s popular family mantra.
