After three weeks of play in college football, this past slate of games in Week 3 brought plenty of of changes to the latest AP top 25 poll.
College football rankings: Texas A&M makes big jump, Notre Dame falls in latest AP top 25 poll

Clemson fell to Georgia Tech after the Yellow Jackets hit a 55-yard “fire-drill field goal” as the clock was expiring to pick up a huge conference win. Georgia Tech’s previous win over Clemson dates all the way back to 2014.
A formerly-ranked No. 11 South Carolina took a beating from then-unranked Vanderbilt, losing 31-7. The Gamecocks lost their starting quarterback LaNorris Sellers after he suffered a hit to the head late in the first half of the game. South Carolina was trailing 14-7 at home when Sellers had to exit the game.
Other notable results include Notre Dame picking up its second loss of the season after falling to Texas A&M 41-40 due to a botched extra point attempt. Georgia had a gutsy win over Tennessee on the road, beating the Volunteers 44-41 in overtime. And those were just some of the highlights from another wild week of college football.

Other notable stories from Week 3 of college football:
- After starting the season with lots of hype and looking like a potential Heisman Trophy front-runner, starting quarterback Arch Manning has at times struggled so far for Texas. In Saturday’s game vs. UTEP, Manning had thrown 10 straight incompletions with many of the throws not even coming close to the intended target. That resulted in some boos from the Texas fans at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Head coach Steve Sarkisian told SEC Network after the game, “I told Arch before the season, you’ve never really been a QB until they boo ya. He got booed in the first half. Now he can start playing.”
- Two head coaches were already fired after going 0-3 to start the season. UCLA fired DeShaun Foster after he started his second season as coach 0-3. According to many reports, Virginia Tech fired Brent Pry after a 45-26 loss to Old Dominion.
- LSU head football coach Brian Kelly had a heated exchange with a reporter in the postgame media press conference when asked about his squad’s offense. The Tigers are now 3-0 after beating Florida on Saturday night.
