The Michigan Wolverines will wear pink gloves and accessories for their game on Saturday against the Illinois Fighting Illini. As part of "Pink Week" at Michigan, several university athletic teams will host "pink games" to help raise awareness about breast cancer.

Game-worn pink gear will be auctioned on MGoBlue.com, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation, supporting breast cancer awareness and education.

Michigan senior defensive back Jordan Kovacs went to Twitter when he heard the Wolverines would be wearing pink on Saturday.

Several NFL and college teams wear pink during October as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Michigan wore similar pink accessories last year when they hosted Purdue on Oct. 29, 2011.

The Michigan Wolverines take on the Illinois Fighting Illini at Michigan Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 13. The game will be aired on ABC or ESPN, depending on the market.
