The Michigan State Spartans survived a scare last Saturday, eking by the Indiana Hoosiers by the score of 31-27 to notch their first Big Ten win of the season. The Iowa Hawkeyes, meanwhile, had a bit of an easier time, moving to 1-0 in the conference with an easy 31-17 home victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Legends Division foes will both be looking for their second conference win of 2012.

Both teams will enter the game with two losses on the season, though with different sets of goals. The Spartans will be looking to return to the Top 25, which they’ve been absent since losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes in late September. The Hawkeyes, on the other hand, will be looking to pile up Big Ten wins as they try to make a run at a title game appearance in what is currently a conference in flux.
The Hawkeyes have the No. 22 rushing defense in the country -- giving up just 111 yards per game -- but it will be tested against Spartans star running back Le'Veon Bell, who is ninth in the country with 129 yards per game. If the Hawkeyes can put the clamp on Bell, the pressure will once again be on Spartans quarterback Andrew Maxwell, who is 98 out of 100 qualified passers in QB rating.
Game time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, ESPN
