Undefeated Mississippi State puts its fast start to the test against Tennessee.

With victories over the Kentucky Wildcats and Auburn Tigers giving the Bulldogs a fast start to their SEC schedule, Mississippi State (5-0, 2-0) will look to break that streak and keep pace in the SEC's West division, where they chase the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Led by quarterback Tyler Russell, the Bulldogs boast the 36th-ranked scoring offense while also enjoying the 11th-ranked scoring defense. Russell has thrown 10 touchdowns in his first five starts against just one pick.
Though winless in SEC play, the Volunteers (3-2, 0-2) have seen an offensive explosion to begin the season, as quarterback Tyler Bray has thrown for 14 touchdowns in the early going and running back Rajion Neal has compiled 460 rushing yards. The Volunteers just fell short of the Georgia Bulldogs two weekends ago, when they last hit the field, falling to Georgia on the road, 51-44.
Game time, TV channel: 9 p.m. ET, ESPN2
Point spread: Mississippi State is favored by three at home.
