A year after Robert Griffin III emerged onto the national stage by leading Baylor to a dramatic 50-48 victory over TCU, the two longtime rivals will play for a second straight year in Waco, but this time as conference rivals in the Big 12.

Both teams are hoping to get back into the Top 25 and the Big 12 title race with a win on Saturday.

Nick Florence has done a remarkable job filling in for the Heisman Trophy winner, completing 63.7 percent of his passes for 1,585 yards, 16 TDs and only 5 INTs. If Geno Smith had not thrown eight TDs to defeat Baylor two weeks ago, Florence's 581-yard, five-touchdown performance against West Virginia would have been the talk of the sport.
The game against TCU could have been another Big 12 shootout, but that changed with the season-long suspension of Frogs QB Casey Pachall, who was quickly becoming a star in his second year as a starter.
TCU, who had been ranked in the Top 20 all season, struggled without Pachall on Saturday, as redshirt freshman QB Trevone Boykin threw 3 INTs in a 37-23 loss to Iowa State.
The Frogs defense will need to be as stiff as it was when they played in the Rose Bowl two years ago if they’re going to give an offense led by a freshman QB a chance to win.
Game time, TV channel: 7 p.m. ET, FSN
