Ohio State defensive end Nathan Williams will not be in the lineup today against the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday due to a medical concern, according to Tim May of The Columbus Dispatch.

Williams, a fifth year senior, missed the entire 2011 season after suffering a knee injury in the team’s opener against Akron. This year, Williams has played in five of Ohio State’s six games, recording 19 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

Williams has been occasionally sidelined in practice this season due to soreness in his right knee, but the exact nature of this most recent medical concern is unknown.

John Simon replaced Williams in the lineup in 2011 but sophomore J.T. Moore is listed as a backup to Williams on the depth chart.

Ohio State has opened the season with six consecutive wins, including defeats of then-ranked Michigan State and Nebraska in back-to-back weeks. The Buckeyes are traveling to play the 2-3 Indiana Hoosiers, who are still seeking their first conference win of the season, on Saturday.
