LSU vs. South Carolina score: Gamecocks lead 14-10

Marcus Lattimore’s two-yard touchdown run is the difference as the fourth quarter looms in Death Valley.

South Carolina trails LSU by over 100 yards of offense, have half the first downs and are only 2-of-8 on third downs, but the Gamecocks are still leading the Tigers 14-10 late in the third quarter.

After LSU opened up the second half with another long, balanced drive that ended with Jeremy Hill's 7-yard touchdown run, the teams would trade punts on 5-play drives before South Carolina would luck out on a somewhat flukey pass play. On 2nd and 4 from the LSU 31-yard-line, Connor Shaw hit receiver Justice Cunningham for a 29 yard strike that was aided by LSU defenders Tharold Simon and Lamin Barrow colliding in a glorious moment of DOINK:

Marcus Lattimore would score from two yards out to give the Cocks a four-point lead. South Carolina's defense would finally stiffen following the score, forcing a LSU punt after a drive that totaled minus-1 yard. The Tiger defense would respond by forcing a 3-and-out of its own, and LSU has the ball heading to the fourth quarter.
