ASU’s Sutton receives “good prognosis” on knee

Matt Kartozian-US PRESSWIREArizona State DT Will Sutton received “a good prognosis” Friday on his right knee injury and is now considered “week-to-week,” according to ASU Media Relations Director Doug Tammaro.
Sutton left Thursday’s 43-21 loss to Oregon after forcing a fumble on the second snap of the game and watched the rest of the action from the sideline on crutches. Sutton’s absence became apparent quickly, too, as the Ducks were able to run for 329 yards in the first half alone after ASU entered the contest with an average 187.8 allowed per game.

The Cougars (3-3, 2-0 CUSA) have won three straight and are coming off a 39-17 victory over UAB. The Mustangs (2-4, 1-1 CUSA), meanwhile, are hoping to bounce back from a one-point loss to Tulane. The Green Wave scored the game-winning touchdown in that outing with less than a minute remaining. In doing so, they snapped a 15-game losing streak of their own.
