FIU vs. Troy football final score: Deon Anthony leads Trojans to 38-37 victory
Troy QB Deon Anthony had a hand in all five of his team’s touchdowns in the Trojans 38-37 victory over Florida International Saturday.

Things were looking good for the Panthers early with a 24-14 halftime lead. But the Trojans would go on to hang 24 points on them in the second with QB Deon Anthony accounting for all three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing).
By the fourth quarter came around, almost nothing was working for the Panthers only one yard of offense before their final desperation drive. But by then, it was clear this one had already slipped out of FIU’s fingers and the Trojans walked away with their fourth victory of 2012.
Box Score Hero: Troy’s senior QB Deon Anthony had himself a day with three touchdowns and one interception on 245 passing yards. Anthony also was the team’s leader rusher with 115 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns on the ground.
But Did They Cover? Troy was considered seven point favorites by most so they were not able to cover.
Next Week’s Schedule: The Panthers will continue their desperate search for victories as they head back home to take on Western Kentucky. As for the Trojans, they’ll be heading south to take on Florida Atlantic.
