Ohio State vs. Penn State: Braxton Miller listed as starter after injury

Despite being taken to the hospital during Saturday’s win over Purdue, Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller is listed as the team’s starter vs. Penn State.

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller, who was taken to a Columbus hospital after suffering an injury against the Purdue Boilermakers, is listed as the team's starter heading into Saturday's matchup with the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Miller was helped off the field after being dragged down from behind by Purdue cornerback Josh Johnson. He was examined on the sideline before being carted to the Ohio State locker room, where an ambulance was eventually brought to transport him to the hospital. Despite the ordeal, Ohio State said late on Saturday that Miller did not suffer any head, neck or shoulder injuries as a result of the play.

The Buckeyes came back to defeat Purdue after backup quarterback Kenny Guiton led the team on a last-minute scoring drive to force overtime, but Ohio State will no doubt be glad to have Miller, a Heisman contender, on the field. In 2012 so far, Miller has thrown for 1,384 yards and 11 touchdowns and ran for 959 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The Buckeyes and Nittany Lions will clash in Happy Valley at 5:30 ET on ESPN.
