Considering the way this season has gone for Southern Miss after perhaps the best year in program history, I ain’t even mad at this:
Southern Miss QB’s mother arrested in stands
Freshman quarterback Anthony Alford’s mother got into a heated argument during Southern Miss’ loss to Marshall and was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
The mother of Southern Miss freshman quarterback Anthony Alford was escorted from the stands at M.M. Roberts Stadium Saturday and charged with a pair of misdemeanors after being arrested by Hattiesburg Police.
Lawanda Ann Alford, 38, was booked into the Forrest County Jail Saturday on disorderly conduct and resisting arrest charges.
She was ordered from the stands after getting into a loud argument with another fan who was berating her son's play during USM's 59-24 loss to Marshall.

And according to the report, it’s not the first time she’s, shall we say, strongly expressed her opinion during a sporting event featuring her son. Some people really care about sports, and that’s great.
The winless defending Conference USA champions are set to trot out their fourth quarterback of the year next week.
