Otto Kitsinger III

The Boise St. Broncos rolled over the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday, improving to 7-1 with a 45-14 win. The Broncos had 437 yards of total offense for their seventh win in a row.

Joe Southwick was 20-for-28 for 198 yards with one interception. He connected with Matt Miller seven times for 78 yards, and Kirby Moore for another 39 yards on five receptions.

D.J. Harper led things on the ground, picking up 105 yards on 19 carries, including two touchdowns. Jay Ajayi, Shane Williams-Rhodes and Grant Hedrick all added rushing touchdowns of their own. The defense returned a fumble for a touchdown for the second week in a row; Jerrell Gavins had one against UNLV, while this week it was Corey Peters scooping one up and running it back early in the third quarter.

Wyoming managed 270 yards of offense, with quarterback Brett Smith going 24-for-35 for 216 yards. Boise State had plenty of backfield pressure, with four different players getting sacks and Wyoming having five backs combine for just 54 yards.

Box Score Hero: Harper came through big grinding things out on the ground, while Southwick was key in the team converting 12 of 14 third downs.

Rankings Ramifications: Ranked No. 21, the win could easily put Boise State up a few steps depending on how the rest of the top 25 shakes out.

But Did They Cover? Boise, favored by 16, easily covered.

Next Week's Schedule: Boise St. will next face the San Diego St. Aztecs, while Wyoming takes on the Colorado St. Rams.
