Arizona quarterback Matt Scott was removed late in the fourth quarter after suffering a possible head injury against the USC Trojans.

Scott, who threw for 369 yards and 3 touchdowns, suffered the apparent injury at some point during the fourth quarter, seemingly during Arizona’s final drive. He was seen on television throwing up, but continued to play as the Wildcats scored to go up 39-28.
After that score, he had his helmet taken away and was removed from the game. Backup quarterback B.J. Denker played the final possession, handing off to Ka'Deem Carey seven times as the Wildcats tried to milk the clock and secure the win.
Scott, a 6’3” senior from Corona, Calif., rushed the ball five times for 15 yards on that final scoring drive.
The backup Denker, a 6’3” junior, has thrown just 18 passes in his Arizona career, completing 11 of them for 111 yards and one touchdown.
