Michigan vs. Nebraska 2012 final score: Cornhuskers beat No. 22 Wolverines, 23-9

Denard Robinson missed the second half of the game with an elbow injury, but the Wolverines couldn’t get much going in either half against Nebraska.

Nebraska defeated No. 22 Michigan 23-9, at home on Saturday.

The Wolverines were without Denard Robinson, who was taken out of the game after rushing for 7 yards to setup a 1st-and-goal on the Nebraska 8-yard line with 4:44 left in the second quarter. Without Robinson, Michigan managed only a field goal on the drive and trailed Nebraska 7-6 at half.

Robinson did not return in the game and finished 6-of-11 passing for 55 yards and rushed 10 times for 46 yards.

Michigan backup quarterback Russell Bellomy was 3-of-16 passing for 37 yards and three interceptions.

Taylor Martinez went 14-of-24 for 164 yards while throwing a touchdown and an interception. Ameer Abdullah led the Nebraska rushing attacking by carrying the ball 25 times for 113 yards and one touchdown.

Rankings Ramifications: Michigan was ranked No. 22 in the BCS and will likely fall out of the top 25, while Nebraska should get serious considerations to enter the BCS rankings this week.

Next Week’s Schedule: Nebraska will travel to East Lansing, Mich. to take on Michigan State, while Michigan will travel to play Minnesota.
