The Baylor Bears fell to Iowa State on Saturday night, 35-21, in a game that featured more than 1,000 yards of offense between the two teams.

The Cyclones forced four turnovers in the win, the difference in a game dominated by dangerous aerial attacks by each offense. The Bears led 14-7 early in the second quarter before quarterback Steele Jantz and the Iowa State offense took control of the game, as the Cyclones scored four unanswered touchdowns to take a 35-14 lead in the fourth quarter.

Baylor's offense was prolific behind quarterback Nick Florence, yet untimely turnovers and failed fourth-down conversions ended several attempts to get back in the game in the second half. Iowa State outgained Baylor, 549-540, with the Bears passing for more than 400 yards in the loss.

Florence was 31-of-50 for 424 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, with Terrance Williams once again putting up massive numbers with 192 yards receiving on 13 catches.

Box Score Hero: Iowa State quarterback Steele Jantz was 36-of-53 for 381 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.

Rankings Ramifications: The game will have little impact on either team’s desires to land in the BCS rankings.
