Washington State vs. Oregon State game time, TV schedule, spread and more

The Oregon State Beavers look to remain undefeated against the Washington State Cougars.

Rick Scuteri-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The No. 14 Oregon State Beavers host the Washington State Cougars at Reser Stadium on Saturday, and they'll face Mike Leach's team that showed a couple capable signs of pulling the upset against the No. 2 Oregon Ducks last week.

The 2-3 Cougars will give the upset victory another go this week after looking competent in the pass game but miserable with the run. Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday put up 348 yards through the air against the Ducks, but in taking sack after sack put the Cougars in the hole with -8 total rushing yards by the end of the night. That continued a trend for Leach's squad, which ranks 123rd in the nation with 45.6 rush yards per game this season.

As for the Beavers (3-0), Mike Riley's team edged out a gritty 38-35 road victory at Arizona behind 433 passing yards from quarterback Sean Mannion, who is quietly leading the No. 4 passing offense in the nation. Freshman running back Storm Woods also comes off a strong game, rushing 29 times for 161 yards against the Wildcats.

If there is any hint of hope for the Cougars, it’s that OSU’s defense finally looked mortal in giving up 545 total yards last week and 142 against the run.

Game time, TV channel: 6 p.m. ET, Pac-12 Network

Point spread: Oregon State opened as favorites by 13.5 points
