LSU freshman linebacker Kwon Alexander suffered a broken ankle in his team's loss to the Florida Gators on Saturday and is expected to miss the rest of 2012, according to a report. Alexander suffered the injury during the third quarter and had to be helped off the field by medical staff. He finished the game with two tackles and a fumble recovery.
Kwon Alexander injury: LSU linebacker could be done for the year
LSU may be without one of its linebackers for the rest of 2012.

Alexander has played in all six games for the Tigers this season and started two games at strong-side linebacker, including the game against the Gators. He has made 11 tackles this year, including one for a loss. He has also recovered two fumbles.
This is not the first major injury setback for Alexander, who was one of the top linebacker prospects in the class of 2012 -- he missed the majority of his senior season in high school because of a knee injury. As a high school junior, he recorded 144 tackles.
