With three conference games remaining, both teams are trailing Nebraska in the Legends standings, as the Cornhuskers beat both teams earlier in conference play. Michigan is favored to beat Northwestern at home, which would help the Wolverines keep pace with Nebraska while still needing some help in the form of a loss by the Cornhuskers to take over the top spot in the division.
The teams have comparable offenses, with Northwestern ranked fifth in the conference with 399 yards per game compared with Michigan’s seventh-ranked offense that puts up 379 yards per game.
