The Arizona State Sun Devils are scheduled to face off against the USC Trojans this Saturday in a battle to determine who is truly more desperate. Both teams are still alive in the Pac-12 South race, but the Devils have lost three straight while the Trojans have dropped two in a row.

Adding to the tension is the fact that, as of late, the series between these programs have been closer than most probably realize. ASU upset USC in dominant fashion last season, taking it to the Trojans with a 43-22 win in Tempe. The Trojans were victorious in their previous two efforts before that, but the margin of victory has been quite tight, with USC winning by only 1 point in 2010 and 5 points in 2009.
